Nepal is a land of unparalleled scenic beauty and one of the most diverse geographical regions on earth. It contains an incredible variety of terrain in a relatively small area, ranging from the tropical lowlands of the “Terai” at about 300 ft above sea level to the summit of Mt. Everest at 29,035 ft (8850m)! What adds an even more interesting dimension to Nepal is the fact that its friendly people are from over 36 different tribal groups!

Mountaineering in Nepal is one of the most attraction and courageous parts rather than high adventure trekking. This beautiful tiny Himalayan kingdom of Nepal is one of the paradises that have met anyone who wish to conquer high mountains by their own foot. This small kingdom is the land of world's top highest peaks including Mt. Everest is majestic crowned to the north. Eight of the world's 14 peaks over 8000m including Mt. Everest (8850m), Kanchenjunga (8586m),Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Manaslu (8163m) Annapurna (8091m), are only located in Nepal. Mountaineering and trekking in Nepal has relied heavily on the progress and inspiration developed by various expeditions to Everest. Most of the attraction of Nepal in the early days resulted from the discovery that the highest peak in the world lay within the forbidden and isolated kingdom. Beside Royalty and other government liable charges, Great Adventure Treks & Expedition provides its best service with experienced climbing Sherpa in very negotiable price. Our Sherpas hero’s have already succeeded all peaks higher then 6000m and of course Mt. Everest (8848m).

Great Adventure offers guided mountaineering and trekking expeditions to Everest, Cho Oyo, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna and others peaks in Nepal. Our long association with the Himalaya has led to the formation of the most respected Sherpa team in Nepal. The team, all of whom speak good English, has been working together for over 7 to 10 years. The result is an incredible level of teamwork, communication, understanding and support - a unique factor that makes Himalayan Experience the envy of others.

• Everest Expedition
In 1953, a ninth British expedition, led by John Hunt, returned to Nepal. Hunt selected two climbing pairs to attempt to reach the summit. The first pair (Tom Bourdillon and Charles Evans) came within 300 feet of the summit on 26 May, but turned back after becoming exhausted. The next day, the expedition made its second and final assault on the summit with its second climbing pair. The summit was eventually reached at 11:30 a.m. local time on May 29, 1953 by the New Zealander Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay from Nepal climbing the South Col Route. At the time, both acknowledged it as a team effort by the whole expedition, but Ten...... Read more

Three of these five peaks (main, central, and south) are on the border of North Sikkim district of Sikkim, and Taplejung District of Nepal, while the other two are completely in Taplejung District. Sometimes mistakenly Lhotse has been identified as the south peak of the Everest massif. No serious attention was given to climbing Lhotse until Everest had finally been ascended. Lhotse first climbed in 1956 as an alternative route towards the summit of Everest. READ MORE
